3-Principles of Natural Health Care

This article 3 principles of natural health care was written and published by me in 2008, today I’m reproducing it here as its still very much contemporary (or I can say more relevant now).

Natural health can be maintained and retained if we follow some common basic principles of natural health care. These basic principles aren’t difficult or cumbersome to follow but they require a strong will power and a keen desire to stay close to nature. These simple principles must be adopted before our body looses its status of being healthy. If we cannot follow these most common principles of natural health care now, then it would not be possible for us in future especially when some serious illness overtakes our healthy body system.

Our modern lifestyle today is one of the biggest enemy of our health and natural body system. Today we have developed a social structure which is unhealthy not only for the society but also for natural health of our body system. Here are three common well known principles of natural health which are seldom followed today, but this doesn’t mean these principles don’t stand today or they have been abandoned by our body.

1-Disturbed Natural Sleeping Pattern :

Natural Sleeping PatternA naturally sound sleep as per law of nature provides a number of positive health benefits to our body. We cannot count these but it works on complexion and beauty, energy and vitality, mental health and relaxation, improving appetite and digestion, overall health and happiness to name a few. Clock of our body system is naturally configured with nature’s natural clock i.e., at night our body tends to rest or sleep and in day after sunrise it is configured to work or do its job. Today our unhealthy lifestyle tends to artificially reconfigure this natural clock. Our modern habits and unnatural sleeping patterns are responsible for a number of modern health problems. Today we work when its natural for our body to sleep or rest and we sleep or rest when it natural time to work.

2-Unnatural and Unhealthy Eating Habits/Patterns:

Modern Eating HabitsOur eating habits have also changed with time. I’ll not be discussing poor nutrition and poor and unhealthy quality of food that we have in this. Today we eat as and when we have time or wish to eat. We eat food without a natural urge or appetite for eating. Even if the quality of food that we eat is best and organically produced, requirements of our body today due to modern lifestyle are not the same as they used to be some times back. Today eating more doesn’t mean getting healthier but its just opposite. Today we provide our body engine with fuel at a time when it is not asking for it and the fuel that we provide our body system today is not the right fuel for the health of our body system. This is like feeding a petrol engine with coal. Thanks God that our body system is not an ordinary machine but a wonderful machine.

3-Unnatural Over-Protection and Over-Comfort:

Un-natural comfort in modern lifeToday we protect ourselves not only from nature but also from the society and social activities unnaturally. We exceed our comfort level from natural to unnatural, the level of comfort that we enjoy today is actually uncomfortable for our body system to work in.  This healthy looking and good feeling over-protection has led to under protection of our natural body system. We are forcing our body to work in dual mode. Sometimes we want our body system to work naturally when we move outside our over-protection comfort cover and otherwise when we stay within our over protected comfort zone we want it to work unnaturally to fit requirements of the artificial environment. This may look lighter but it has a serious consequence on our body’s natural health system. Today our body begs us to leave dependence on its natural resistance power and seek modern medical help time and again which gives right treatment not only to our body system but also to the soul who is actually responsible for this under-protected over-protection.

These three points on 3 principles of natural health care discussed here show how we have ourselves willingly compromised simple principles of natural health with unprincipled complexities of modern health problems. Health is wealth and comes before everything else, all the goals of life depend on our health, our level of happiness is also an indication of our health and if we are neglecting health for something else then we’ll definitely regret our today’s decision and lifestyle in future.

Definition of Physical Activity

Young Women Pose shows Confidence in Physical Health & Beauty

World Health Organization defines physical activities as

Physical activity is defined as any bodily movement produced by skeletal muscles that requires energy expenditure. Physical inactivity, (a lack of physical activity) is an independent risk factor for chronic diseases, and overall is estimated to cause 1.9 million deaths globally.

Regular physical activity – such as walking, cycling, or dancing – has significant benefits for health. For instance, it can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and osteoporosis, help control weight, and promote psychological well-being. Everyone should engage in at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity every day. More activity may be required for weight control.” Learn more about physical activities at WHO.

It is clear from the above definition that physical activities are very important for our health and wellness and if we are unable to perform such activities every day or every week then we are risking our health. Lack of physical activity is today our number one problem on hand and to meet the increasing demand for power is a global problem faced by governments across the globe by developed and developing countries.

A problem which has a solution is giving birth to another problem, on one hand we are looking at modern medical science to restore health in our body artificially (after all we are today reluctant to do physical work which is the real secret to stay healthy and fit).

Physical Activity and Its Health Benefits

  1. Determines how much energy we expend everyday and therefore plays an important role in balancing our energy level and weight. Weight is a universal problem today and there are a number of useful and useless courses, tips and tricks available from a number of sources on internet.
  2. Physical activities play an important role in reducing risks associated with coronary heart disease and resulting strokes.
  3. Physical activities reduce risks associated with diabetes especially dreaded Type II diabetes.
  4. In women physical activities reduce risk of cancer (breast cancer and colon cancer).

One must keep oneself engaged in physical work of one form or other as this is the safest method of enjoying health and well-being.  Manual works not only improve physical health but they also help in improving mental health and mood those who are unable to perform physical activities or exercises due to any reason can take help of natural alternatives like Traditional Chinese Medicine Ganoderma.

In order to get specific health benefit from physical activities one must look at the best matching routine and quantity to perform in regular intervals. More on related health topic is already discussed in definition for physical health.

Importance of Physical Activities in Maintaining Physical Health

Today most of us are not physically active, a little physical activities that we do are either for fun or entertainment or just moving withing our house or office. Time may have changed for our lifestyle which is today supported by a number of helpful aids but our body still works in traditional fashion. All its parts and body organs perform well when they are put to use (if not rigorous use). Today we want to eat well and still unable to use that energy, today we eat more than what we actually need and most of that we eat now a days is junk, useless food.

If we are looking for good physical health we must perform physical activities. Thanks to global energy crisis, global warming due to excessive carbon emission and health problems which have attracted attention of millions towards natural resources and how they can be used at small level at home and at larger level in production units and offices.

There are a number of tasks at home that can be performed manually, without wasting energy. This will not only save energy but will also keep us engaged (and entertained) for some time thus helping us mentally and will also engage our body in physical activity which it badly needs today to stay healthy and fit.

There are so many ways in which we can implement the above concept, it will definitely help everyone of us over time after all physical activities can only insure physical health.

What is health & How to get it.

Natural Health and fitness is a major concern of today’s civilization. Our progress in science and technology has brought a number of changes in environment, human body, human lifestyle, eco system and present & future of this planet. Today we think ourselves to be more intelligent and advanced then ever before. Human history has never seen man more busy then he is today. Today there is no limit on number of tasks we perform in 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. We are busy to such an extent that we have even forgot the meaning of life and our purpose of being live. We no more enjoy a perpetual happiness but today we only enjoy some moments in between. Health is such a serious concern of today that if we count number of healthy and fit persons in a place, figures will be really mind blowing. This is not a case pertaining to a particular region or place but now a universal phenomenon of modern society.
Health and fitness is really a very complex subject
to define. Health includes virtually everything concerning or affecting humans directly and other forms of life and objects indirectly. A number of factors are responsible for good health and fitness some of which may or may not be known to us. There is no single way or health theory which can guarantee a perfect health and body fitness. There is only one alternative to minimize problems related to health and fitness and that alternative is ‘Precaution and Prevention’ alone.

We may state health and fitness as a combination of following among other factors:-

1. A healthy and well balanced body.

2. A jolly and radiating face.

3. Active interest in family and social affairs.

4. Enjoying everyday meals and a sound sleep each day.

5. Positive outlook in life and happenings.

6. Ability to perform duties and responsibilities in hand.

7. Optimum performance of all organs within the body, not for a day or week but for prolonged period of time.

If we look at points above mentioning health and fitness, we can say that approximately all sort of problems and issues we see and face are somewhere related to health and fitness, we can add the saying ” A Healthy Mind in a Healthy Body”.

In HealthyGanoderma’s Natural Health Care Blog we’ll try to look at Health and Fitness from different angles with alternative solutions which can help us in prevention of health and fitness problems and their early detection, in order to make this planet a healthy, wealthy and fit place to live for everyone.
